It was an honour for us to host the penultimate event at The Zanzibar on Friday 31st October - Halloween night. The lineup featured a fantastic mix of local talent, including The Ghost Chili Peppers, Villanova, Rain Dogs, Table 9, and Special Guest.
It was a night we’ll never forget. Thank you to all the bands, staff, and everyone who came down to celebrate - you’re all part of Zanzibar’s history.
We’d also like to thank Liam (Instagram: @zeldaaudio) for giving us the opportunity to book a few artists for the final show on Saturday 1st November. That allowed us to give Sam Roberts, Turvey, and Lucy Ellen the chance to play Zanzibar one last time.
A special thanks to The Shindie team - Karma Police by Radiohead being the final song played made the goodbye even more unforgettable.
The closing night was emotional: a celebration of what Zanzibar meant to Liverpool’s grassroots scene, mixed with the sadness of losing a true cultural landmark.
We hope we did Tony proud. The end of an era signals the start of a new one - we’ll keep building, discovering, and championing the next generation of great musicians.
